How is the Wreath Fundraiser promoted?
Door to door sales, signs posted at the church that sponsors our Troop, flyers at parents' workplaces, emails and phone calls to friends and relatives - and after the first year of selling, and having our customers see the quality of the product they received, they were looking for our boys to come out again in 2005 so they could purchase them again!
 

How do you motivate your members for the Wreath Fundraiser?
The big motivation for the boys is that the funds raised goes to buy tents, cooking equipment and other camping necessities for the Troop. This year the HUGE motivation is that the funds raised will help defray the costs of a trip West...a weekend of camping at the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam (Boulder Canyon) ...quite an adventure for a group of Easterners!
 
 
Please share any "secrets of success" or additional comments:
Motivating the boys by having a "reason" to raise funds is key... they need to know that the money they're raising for the Troop matters - that it will benefit them by having decent equipment with which to camp or having a big trip to look forward to - our troop hasn't done a big trip since 1998, so this is a first for all the boys.

We're confident that with the continuing help of Mickman Brothers' wonderful customer service staff we'll do even better with this year's fundraiser.
