Education: Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota
John worked in his father’s family Christmas Tree & Wreath businesses as a boy, developing a love for working with trees and forest products at an early age. After graduation from the university, John spent 5 years as a commercial King Crab and Shrimp Fisherman out of Kodiak, AK. Then in 1975, John co- founded Mickman Brothers with brother Chris as a landscaping design/build firm before adding the Irrigation, Land Care, Garden Center and Christmas Wreath departments.
In his current role, John focuses on directing the operations of the business to ensure they are aligned with our Mission, Visions and Core Value’s of entrepreneurship, customer service and FUN! John also directly manages the Christmas Wreath Fundraising operations.
With over 30 years serving customers and clients in our industries, John is a strong advocate in building the Mickman Brothers Brand of supplying the highest quality products and services to all.
