Mickman Brothers is A Top National Fundraising Company For School Bands.

High School Band Fundraiser

We showcase our products and highlight our programs, giving everyone a chance to see what makes us a great choice for schools.

High School Bands from across the nation rely on our Christmas Wreath Fundraiser to support their activities. At Mickman Brothers, we dedicate ourselves to helping our customers ‘Maximize their Profit while Minimizing their Effort’ through a fun, successful experience.

To do so, we offer two easy-to-use Fundraising Programs:

  • Traditional Program: Using the Traditional Fundraising Program, the school bands take orders from local friends and family members and then deliver the products to their customers in their community.
  • Online Program at www.GiftItForward.com: With this Online Fundraising Program, school bands and their parents can outreach nationally to their friends and relatives. These products are shipped directly to the gift recipients from Mickman Brothers.

Choose one Fundraising Program – or both! Whatever suits the needs of your school band, our team will be there every step of the way to help ‘Maximize your Profit while Minimizing your Effort!’

As with any type of group starting a fundraiser, you want to look at the amount of profits or funds you will raise per item. The item needs to give your students enough of a return to be worth selling. Decide how much you need to raise and then figure out how many of each item you will need to sell to make what you need.

Earn high profits from $5-$10 per product when choosing Mickman Brothers for your wreath fundraising program! Such profits can benefit a high school band in a variety of ways:

New instruments can be so costly and in a time when just having a high school band is hard on the school’s budget, obtaining new instruments is almost always out of the question. Many parents can not afford these instruments so that leaves the cost up to the band itself.

New music might not be the only reason you need to find fundraising companies for your high school band, but it is likely a contributing factor. Learning the classics is important and helps teach children the various styles of music. We want to get them excited about music. One of the best ways to do this, is to have current, up-to-date music that kids know and love.

Many high school bands are also the marching team for sporting events such as football games. This means that not only does the band need instruments and music, they also need costly uniforms. Fundraising to help pay for these expensive uniforms can mean the difference between having uniforms, and a band playing at this weekend’s football game, and not having a marching band at all.

You just can’t learn to play music if you have nothing to hold the music while you play. This is where music stands come in, but just like so many other things, these can be expensive but are also a much needed item for the success of the band. There are many fundraising companies for high schools, but we have 40+ years experience in helping High School Bands achieve their fundraising goals.

"I have worked as a Co-Chair of the Mickman Wreath Fundraiser for the last 3 years. It’s one of the biggest opportunities for the students involved in the Dunmore High School Marching Band to add money to their student accounts. Their student accounts allow them to use money towards needed clothes like band T-shirts or gloves to trip payments. This year, 70 of our band students were able to have a once in a life time opportunity to go to Nashville, TN and play in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame. In addition to their concert, they were able to tour the Ryman Auditorium, the Hermitage House, take a riverboat cruise and have a fun day at Dollywood. Through fundraising, selling Holiday wreaths, students were able to make a total profit of just over $1,000. Our community has been generous to support our students by purchasing wreaths. We use Social Media to pump up the upcoming holiday season and frequent posting of the opportunity to purchase through any of the band students. We have many repeat customers that feel this is one thing off of their holiday list. They know the DHS Music Boosters will deliver their beautiful holiday wreath.

DHS Marching Band will be attending a Broadway play in New York City in the Spring of 2018 and another trip to march down Main St USA in Disney in the Spring of 2019!”

Does the company whose product you are selling offer any helpful items or sales aids? These can be a great way to sell the items because sales aids are usually professional and offer a great way to showcase the items you are selling. Professional photos work so well when it comes to selling! We offer free sales aids as well as online tools to assist the fundraising leader.

Many high school bands can join in on competitions but these competitions usually have entrance fees and of course there are traveling fees involved as well. These traveling fees can be anywhere from just getting the kids all a few cities over, to long distance travel which will require large buses, hotel accommodations, food and so much more. While competitions seem like a costly event that shouldn’t be done, the amount of pride and accomplishment that it gives the children is literally priceless and something they will remember for many, many years to come.
