Job Description:

Strategy driven, New Business Development Associate leading all aspects of growth on both

e-comm and brick and mortar platforms, including product and service lines. This includes identifying emerging trends and building market positioning by developing, defining, and launching new business opportunity.

Responsibilities and Requirements

– Works closely with CEO & Marketing Department/Sales Associates to lead growth and development for the company

– Identifies new industry trends, products, styles, events, and more

– Identify new product ideas for our online stores, principally our online fundraiser at GiftItForward.com. Besides identifying ‘product(s) potential’, this process includes:

§ Product availability

§ Market possibilities

§ Packaging development

§ Delivery challenges

§ Marketing avenues

– Identifies new relationships, positions, and partnerships

– Explores and develops new business opportunities

– Analyzes market strategy and makes recommendations

– Examines and proposes investments, opportunities, and business deals

– Examines risks and potential for new business developments

– Closes new deals and launches new product with MBI team

– Enhances brand imaging and industry positioning

– Elevates reputation and customer experiences with brand

– Adds value to brand and new efforts

· History and track record of success with new business development

· Media and industry connections and management, vast network

· Professional presentation and eye for ‘first to market’

· Sales and closing experience

· Putting customer experience as #1 priority

o Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree, plus 5+ years in business or product development role

o Creative, innovative, and eye for analytics/design

o Microsoft Office efficiency, and design programs preferred but not necessary

o Knowledge and experience of e-commerce and manufacturing industries

o Experience in market research and submitting proposals

Mickman Brothers is currently seeking a professional Garden Center Sales Associate/Merchandiser. Potential employees will be self-motivated, have a stable work history and be detail orientated. We are willing to offer competitive pay with room for career advancement.

Duties / Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Assists in the sale of nursery products and all other Garden Center merchandise
• Create and maintain great looking plant, garden decor and seasonal displays
• Assist in the retail store as assigned, including but not limited to cashiering, customer assistance, merchandising and inventory control and maintenance
• Receiver merchandise following Point of Sale (POS) system procedures
• Maintain quality merchandise as define by controlling conditions that could result in inventory shrinkage, i.e., watering, weeding, and fertilizing practices, breakage, and theft
• Conduct or assist with Garden Center Workshops, Seminars, and Events
• Additional duties as assigned by the Garden Center Manager
• Provide a safe and clean work environment for team members and clients
• Complete required tasks accurately and in a timely manner

Job Qualifications:

• Preferred: A minimum of 2 years Garden Center experience or related Retail Sales experience
• Must be able to work some nights and weekends
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Excellent communication skills
• Positive team attitude and independently motivated
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Ability to efficiently manage customer communication and office tasks on time
• Maintain professional appearance

• Fertilizer and pesticide applications to both residential and commercial accounts including HOA run communities
• Properly follow safety procedures and pesticide label instructions
• Keep detailed and up to date records of each application
• Operate commercial spreaders/sprayers, push spreaders & hand sprayers
• Assist lawn maintenance crews and professional gardeners as needed throughout the season
• Complete required tasks accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness.
• Work Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours/week
• Other tasks and duties, common to lawn care maintenance, as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one
• MN Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or the ability to obtain one) – Cat. A/E

• Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds.
